Jamaican Fried Dumplings
Crispy-outside, fluffy-inside Jamaican fried dumplings
Ingredients
- 2 cupsall-purpose flour
- 2 tspbaking powder
- 1 tspsalt
- 3/4 cupmilk
- 1 1/2 cupsoil, for frying
Method

Combine the flour, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl. Pour in the milk and stir until combined, then bring the mixture into a ball and lightly knead until a smooth dough forms.

Break off about 10 pieces of dough and roll each into a smooth ball.

Heat enough oil in a 25cm (10-inch) skillet over medium heat until it reaches 350°F.

Fry the dumplings until golden brown on one side, then flip and cook the other side until browned, about 2–3 minutes per side.

Remove from the oil and drain on paper towels or a cooling rack. Serve hot.
