Make the garlic butter and freeze it

Mash the softened butter with the crushed garlic, the parsley, the lemon zest and half the salt. Roll it into a log in plastic wrap, then freeze until solid.

— Frozen hard is not optional. Soft butter melts before the crumb has set and finds its way out through the seam every time.
